Beauty Loyalty & Brand Switching
Kaidron Weekly Survey
This week we asked our community about something every beauty brand quietly worries about: loyalty. Not the kind that shows up in a rewards program, but the kind that decides whether someone repurchases a serum, ignores a competitor's ad, or jumps ship the moment a viral alternative appears. The results paint a community that is loyal, but conditionally — and increasingly on its own terms.
Just over a third describe themselves as very loyal to their favourite beauty brands, and a similar share call themselves somewhat loyal — loyalty here isn't rare, but it isn't unconditional either. Nearly half say they switch brands "sometimes," and when they do, better results and plain curiosity are far stronger pulls than price or virality. Meanwhile, real customers, real reviews, and real feedback loops matter more than almost anything a brand can say about itself.
For brand partners and collaborators, the takeaway is less about winning loyalty and more about earning it repeatedly. The overwhelming majority say they'd stay more loyal to brands that feature real customers in their marketing, and authenticity now sits close to non-negotiable. This week's findings map exactly where that trust is built, where it breaks, and what keeps a community coming back.
Chapter One
Loyal, But Never Locked In
Loyalty is alive and well in beauty — most of the community sits somewhere between "somewhat" and "very" loyal to their go-to brands. But scratch the surface and switching is common, quiet, and mostly driven by curiosity rather than dissatisfaction.
How loyal are you to your favourite beauty brands?
How often do you switch brands?
"Authenticity isn't a nice-to-have anymore — it's the price of entry."
Real customers, real reviews, and real feedback are outweighing polished brand messaging.
Chapter Two
What Actually Sparks a Switch
Price plays a role, but it isn't the headline driver. The community switches brands chasing something better — either proven results or the simple pull of trying something new.
Chapter Three
Trust Is Built Outside the Brand's Control
The community is far more likely to trust what other people say about a brand than what the brand says about itself — and that trust is unevenly earned across brand types.

Would be more loyal to a brand featuring real customers in its marketing
say seeing real customers in a brand's marketing would make them more loyal to it — one of the strongest signals in this week's data.
Do you feel beauty brands listen to real consumer feedback?
What type of brand do you trust more?
"Loyalty isn't given upfront anymore. It's earned, one result at a time."
Performance is doing more to keep and win the community than price or trend cycles ever could.
Chapter Four
What It Actually Takes to Keep Them
Above everything else — price, rewards, community — one thing keeps the beauty community loyal: results that hold up, visit after visit.
