Subscription Boxes & Beauty Memberships
83% of our community are subscribed, have been before or are interested. Discover what draws them in, what makes them cancel and what turns maybe into yes.
Subscription boxes promise something retail shelves cannot, a sense of discovery delivered to the door every month. This week we asked our community how they feel about beauty subscriptions, what would make them start one, stay with one or cancel one entirely.
83% are already subscribed, have been before or are actively interested in trying one. Discovery is the biggest draw, 44% say finding new products is what excites them most about the format. 64% would rather receive a mixed beauty box spanning multiple categories than commit to a single one.
The opportunity for brands sits in the detail. 67% say personalization would make them more likely to subscribe. 94% would pay something for the right box. Value is the line that gets crossed most easily, poor value and being too expensive are the two most common reasons our community would cancel.
Subscription Habits
Most of our community has already tried the format, or wants to. The real question is not whether they will open a box, it is what convinces them to open the next one.
